Our review is based purely on the interaction with the staff following our foster dog escaping our garden, being found and dropped at the Vets on the afternoon of New Years Eve. Firstly we completely appreciate and are thankful to the staff for taking our boy in and the young lady on reception that was very pleasant and nice however our interaction with an older lady with black hair was quite frankly despicable. We were clearly distressed that the lovely sweet dog we are looking after had got out without our knowledge and to then find out that he had made his way to a main road and had been found; this news was shared with us by his owners where his chip was still registered.. and we were mortified. For context, once we knew of his missing we rang within 2mins and arrived at the vet within the next 5 mins. The woman we spoke with was cold, and judgemental in her tone and wording, saying “you do know he was found near a main road” “have you not even brought a lead” and despite us explaining why we haven’t updated his chip, saying “it doesn’t matter you need to update his chip” to then walk him out and not say a word to us but just leave! So our thoughts on this interaction and to the lady - maybe if you see a family upset and confused about how the dog they care for had got out and distressed by the very thought that he could have been hurt, maybe take a moment to assess the situation, to be warm and empathic, to know that it was clearly a mistake and that the people standing infront of you are human with feelings and would never want harm to come to an animal they care for! It honestly costs nothing to be kind, it clearly was more effort to point score and be rude and hostile. Let’s hope you read this and if faced with a similar pedicament that you may reflect and act differently in the future.

My cat was unblocked by another vet the previous Wednesday, he was blocked again on Tuesday. I went to this clinic as an emergency. They offered me two choices: to put him on UR cath or to offer cysto for now, because I had an appointment with my vet the next morning. They asked me for £2500-£3000 to put on the UR cath or £250-£300 for the cysto. I asked if it was safe to use the cysto until the morning, and they said yes. The report mentions that I denied the UR cath. Also, after the cysto, they say that my cat was happy. My cat wasn't happy at all, and when we came back, he died in less than an hour. When you say to someone £3000, do you really understand how much that is? I spoke with a friend in Greece, who, having volunteered in animal shelters for years like me, told me that with 50 euros in Greece, I could get the UR cath there and my cat would have been saved. The process is straightforward, and the huge amount isn't justified, even in an emergency. There is no compassion in this country for animals, and most vets care only for money. However, this is supported by the entire culture of purebred animals and the notion that animals are luxuries rather than souls. They told me that as a temporary solution until the morning, he would be fine, and he died! The receptionist advised me to email them to report the issue to the vets, but I will not do that, as I don't expect anything to come of it. They never take responsibility and they consistently uphold their 'reputation' without considering whether they need to do things differently. I didn't plan to write a review, but they mentioned in the history that I understood the process was temporary and might not last until the next morning. I would never agree to that process if they told me that he couldn't make it until the morning. I don't know how I would find the money, but I would never agree to something that could cost my cat's life. I understood it was temporary, but it couldn't become fatal in a few hours. They said it was safe till the morning. In less than an hour, he died. How was he happy there? I am sure they will be sad about my loss, but the cat was fine when I left. Really? Happy?

The vet was amazing. Spent lots of time explaining things to me and was very nice to my dog. The receptionists were also very friendly. However, communication from the survey is very poor. I have emailed and messaged via the website many times and got no response when trying to book an appointment. Also, I was given the wrong prescription which would have left my dog vulnerable to illnesses had I not checked and taken the wrong medicine back. There was no apology. Please reply to my messages before I need to cancel my membership and find another surgery.

Treated my dog very well, he is 15 and had blood in his urine so I thought that was going to be the end. However had some meds and fully checked out and within a few days he is back to normal and clear. Veterinarian was excellent and I would highly recommend

They were quick, fast, snap in helping us with our destressed pet out-of-hours. The attention to detail and care quickly calmed us, and our pet, down. Would we return? Yes, without a doubt but hope we never have to. Thank you for the service, advice and treatment provided.

Turned up at 8pm with my cat without giving any notice. Despite the unplanned arrival the receptionist was lovely and caring and arranged the vet to see us within 10 minutes. The vet was very reassuring and thorough with her advice. Excellent service and nice to know they are there in an emergency!
