The latest reviews show a split experience: several owners describe unhurried consultations (including time for questions during a health check tied to a “Complete Care Plan”), staff cuddling/settling nervous pets, and supportive handling around end-of-life care (including a condolence card). A smaller number of recent reviews describe serious concerns, including a missed cancer concern, dissatisfaction with stitch quality after a procedure, and a complaint about how a dog with a heart murmur was handled during an attempted heart scan (long wait in a kennel and disagreement over sedation/handling).

Used to be top notch when the guy with the scar used to work here. Since...they have managed to miss cancer when my cats back end was going. And apply stitches that even to the untrained eye looked poor and quite clearly caused my dog discomfort. I was told that the external stitches didn't matter as long as the internal ones are ok. I work for an insurance company that has a very nurse so intend to check whether I am having smoke blownup my backside. Whatever the case, the dog had no discomfort once she had bitten out her own stitches (and didn't need the lampshade they flogged me). Coincidence ? I'm not sure but sure I will find out from my work contacts when I show them the pictures

Would not recommend vets for pets rawtenstall and will be changing vets ASAP after the way they treated my poor dog today the nurse and this is not the first time I let that one go but today wow she was beyond useless and lack of empathy towards my dog or us it was very stressful and clearly my dog was in pain other nurse have done the procedure without causing any pain so honestly she needs retraining or personal opinion I would say give up the job you don't seem to care at all

Avoid vets for pets Rawtenstall at all cost. The way they have treated Angus this morning is disgusting. Gus has been waiting 6 months from them to arrange a heart scan as he has a heart murmur, possibly very serious. Today was scan day. I was told to take him in for 9am for his scan. Before hand I talked to the vets and nurses about sedation and he is very easily stressed/scared of everything and a super happy boy around people and won't sit still. Everyone agreed this was best and they told me they have special protocols for sedating bulldogs, and it won't be a problem. What i didn't know is that the person who does the scans didn't arrive until 1.30, if I knew this I would of never agreed to take him so early. They locked him in a box for 5 hours, in a very high stress environment, ignored him, then proceed to pin him down without sedation and shave his side. Then because he got too stressed and his breathing got so bad they couldn't even do the scan due to the risk of sedating him while he was in such a state. They have completely stress the poor dog out to the point he couldn't breath. Then proceed to blame me for not bothering to creat train him little do the realise is hes been perfectly created trained since he was 8 weeks old. They have probably now created a traumatic response to the vets as a whole. These people have a duty of care towards our animals and today have let Angus down. He was so traumatised when I collected him he was shaking, and gasping for air, basically launched himself into my arms. The vet was utterly useless. Like talking to a Brick wall. No care at all. I feel absolutely awful I left him there, with people I thought would care for him. Not mistreat him.

Truly fabulous team of people whom we cannot Thank and recommend enough. Today we brought Rupert our rescue pup for a health check as we signed up for the complete care plan, the consultation was no charge. Our appointment was with Becky, an amazing vet. ⭐️She didn’t rush us, answered our questions and had plenty of time for our fur baby Rupert. Who must have felt at ease as he actually fell asleep on her table during the consultation ! 😀❤️ The whole team are amazing,, Rupert had plenty of cuddles with Sam, Mia and Lucinda ( the reception team) who always go above and beyond. Gillian ( Vet) came out as we were leaving and she took the time to speak to us and gave Rupert a little cuddle.🤗 Rupert’s tail didn’t stop wagging during his visit. We also speak from Experience as this team looked after and truly cared for Connie , our previous rescue dog who was very poorly. Their care and compassion are second to none, which they also shown to myself and my Husband. Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts. Rupert will see you soon for a visit and a cuddle .xxxx

We have been customers here for almost 5 years and can not fault the customer service. Becky, the vet, is exceptional at her job. She goes above and beyond every time to ensure peace of mind. All 3 of our animals have been treated by Becky over the years, and we've received personal attention to detail during every visit. The reception team is also fantastic. Polite, knowledgeable, and very friendly. This is clearly a team of animal lovers who treat your pet just like it's their own. I always recommend Vets4Pets Rawtenstall and will continue to do so. Thank you for being so fabulous! We'd be lost with you guys! Review updated January 2024: We cannot thank the team enough for everything you have done for Asia, whom we sadly had to let go. Claire and Amy treated her like 1 of their own and it has truly filled our hearts. Asia was a sassy queen and was able to be herself right until the very end. Thank you isn't enough.

As my dog is a demic, I am a frequent visitor to this practice. All the reception staff are so lovely, genial and affable, with Molly always having the biggest and most welcoming smile. Rachael the vet is amazing, always going above and beyond, consistently showing clinical acumen and is just the best vet ever!

My family have always received great service from the staff here. You kind of have an expectation from national chains for things to be a bit corporate and impersonal but it’s really not like that at all. We have unfortunately have lost a couple of small pets recently and the staff did all they could for them right until the end, the nicest touch was receiving a card a few days later offering condolences to my wife who was upset. (Thank you ) The prices are less than you would expect and unlike a lot of vets the animals come first and the money later, the way it should be.
