Reviews show a mix of routine and more involved care, including dental procedures (cleaning/extractions), microchip detail changes, annual boosters/health checks, and end-of-life care with cremation. Recent feedback is split: many owners describe staff helping to reduce stress (including practical steps like moving an anxious dog away from other dogs and using an alternate exit), while a smaller number describe serious concerns around dental consent/costs, plan cancellation charges, and an alleged surgical injury.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. The pet plans are a good idea until you need to cancel due to change in circumstances. Charging me £60 per cat to cancel. When I can't afford £63 a month for 3 cats to be on the plan. So they are Charging me £180 in 1 month to cancel which is ridiculous. The stress this is causing me is massive. I've been with town and country 25+ years and I'm so disappointed with the lack of compassion.

The staff here are amazing, what was a very stressful time was made much easier by the vets. Want to mention the nurse Ben, who talked us through everything and advised us. Couldn't recommend this vets enough and will be using them forever. Thank you

Very helpful for what they did for me when I had rabbits 3 years ago and had them cremated there as i had one euthanized as he was poorly and my other one passed away same year but few months after from old age and had cremated too and can't thank them enough, I got a dog a month ago and the guy at the reception was very helpful and very kind for all he had done as my dog suffers with anxiety from seeing other dogs and she gets all distressed and he went above and beyond to move me and my dog out the way to calm her down but still was agitated as she still knows dogs she saw would still be there and the receptionist helped me to leave out the back exit so my dog woudlnt be agitated again to see other dogs and he helped me get her chip changed into my name and address and helped me with a pet plan for her which will save me a lot in the long run as its cheaper than paying for pet visit consolation and medication, glad I been with them for years and will continue to do so as they understood my autism aswell as my concerns, couldn't of asked for better help than what they gave me as im very thankful for that

Our dog Luna went to T&C for teeth clean and extraction. Due to her size, we had to go to Blackburn branch for surgery. 5 days after procedure we noticed a red mark developing on her stomach. A trip to out of hours vets, they said it looked like a burn. Over the next few days it continued to get worse and eventually T&C said she'd need emergency surgery to remove the dead tissue. Luna had 3rd degree burns caused from either faulty equipment or staff error during surgery. At one point during the burn treatment Vets in Blackburn thought it was appropriate to staple a dressing to our dogs skin. T&C initially refused to accept liability for the burn, it was only after further testing requested by their insurers that they would accept fault. Thankfully after that they covered the bills but we never got more than apology for the suffering and stress they put Luna through. I would never use them or any surgery owned by the same corporate group again. Luna was 13 years old at the time, sadly we lost her within the year. I assume this ordeal wouldn't have helped.

They said they had a offer on cleaning teeth £350....however when my mother in law (85) went to collect her beloved dog they had removed 13 teeth!!! No consultation was discussed with her, and they didn't have the decency to ring her and ask for permission...the total bill was £500 absolulty disgusting!!! This is not the 1st time ....... it also happened to us when they removed 11 teeth on our dog after going in for one tooth removal ..once again no consultation ...disgusting service for elderly people...do not get roped in its a scam!!!! She was very upset hearing what they had done and not even asked her permission!!!!

All our pets are with Town And country. We have never had a bad experience . They always put our dogs at ease . They were also excellent in a crisis situation we had too. This was an annual booster visit And health check
