We have 5 dogs at this practice 4 being golden retrievers Recently our 3 girls were neutered and we were really happy with there operations and the aftercare they received. Unfortunately a while ago my youngest girl had an accident and the team here were so helpful and did a lovely job of helping her and making her better. They stayed behind after hours which really put our minds at rest. I can’t recommend Elliot and his team enough and this is such a lovely practice.

Excellent, professional, caring knowledgeable,understanding compassionate, care is always provided by Elliot Kirwan the vet,and his team of vets and colleagues ,as it always was with his father Austin Kirwan,and his team before him.I couldn't thank him enough for care he provided over the years,and Elliot his son, has proven to be of the same high standard. A very friendly atmosphere,and a clean sterile environment with an operating theatre within the same building👌 I highly recommend this practice Potter House Vets, as you know veterinary care is of the highest standard.

After waiting to be seen for over an hour (for a simple annual cat check up and vaccine appointment) and being told repeatedly by the reception team that the vet was just running behind and to wait patiently, they will call me, i finally confronted the vet who checked her records and confirmed I was on her list but she would never have called me because reception didn’t mark that I’d arrived in the first place. No apology, no discount, not even the decency to look embarrassed. Just the vet saying it’s not my fault the reception didn’t book you in, and reception staying completely silent like it was my fault. That was a very long hour with my elderly cat as dog after dog came in barking and scaring him, he is very timid and I was on my lunch break from work so I was also late back to work, just a sincere apology would have been nice. Update - just went again, and was charged £75 for a vet prescribed flea treatment, just a standard flea treatment. I’m registering at another vet asap. Needless to say I reminded them I was waiting over an hour last time and STILL no apology forthcoming. The most rude receptionists I’ve ever met.

Friday the 13th June was a sad day for us as we said our goodbyes to a dear friend. Our 13 year old King Charles Cavalier RED was put to sleep this was done with Professionalism and the upmost care and consideration for both of us his owners but most of all for Red. As most pet owners who have had to go through this procedure for their own pets will know it is one of the most traumatic experiences apart from family and friends (and yes I know our pets are our friends and family as well) but to alleviate this anguish I cannot speak highly enough of the vets and staff of Potter house who looked after us and allowed us to spend time with Red and say our goodbye with alot of compassion and made all the arrangements for Red's cremation. Many Thanks once again.

This practice is fantastic and they could not be more kind. They were absolutely brilliant with my little diabetic dog and my other elderly dog. Elliot and his team are very caring and go out of their way to be utterly professional and very understanding. I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

I was very apprehensive about using this vets after having a bad experience with barn lodge. That being said, I would recommend Potter House to anyone - super reasonably priced and most importantly the vets clearly have a lot of compassion and care for the animals. I have made them my regular vets now and will continue with them. Highly recommend 🐱🐶
